Run The Jewels has teamed up with Royal Blood, although that didn’t really make me estatic upon first hearing about this quartet coming together for a song.
Once hearing it I was blown away, as Royal Blood only has one sound, that’s a bass being pushed through a guitar amp/bass amp at the same time, whilst using some crazy pitch shifters and zvex fuzz pedals to accentuate that guitar amp breakup even more. Honestly though if you’ve heard their sound once you’ve heard it a couple thousand of times, you know what to expect.
But this sound compliments RTJ so well, driving Killer Mikes and EL-Ps vocal delivery driving them to a much more aggressive sound.
