Militarie Gun have released another banger titled Very High after giving us Do It Faster and even their debut album All Roads Lead To The Gun. This single is prepping us for a brand new album titled Life Under The Gun that’s going to be released under Loma Vista 23rd of June.
Teasing Life Under The Gun
This time round Militarie Gun give us a tentatively softer experience than previous records, similar vibe to Do It Faster with a more melodic and washed-out soothing approach however there’s still a gruff tone that’s hanging over the record and should be an indication the direction that Life Under The Gun is going in.
Personally, this is one of my favourite tracks from Militarie Gun to date. It’s so much catchier than anything they’ve released, this is going to be another fun song that sits in the track list with Pressure Cooker they made in Collaboration with Dazy.
Very High By Militarie Gun
This song is a perfect summer feel good song with a little bit of a hardcore vibe dashed in for good measure. The song is about getting high when feeling down and it’s simplicity really helps the vibe. “I’ve been feeling very down, so I get very high.”
““Very High” centers around the desire to escape the embarrassment of day to day life as much as possible. From the lyrics to the video to the cover art of the album, it’s about struggling with something no one else sees: “I’ve been feeling very down, so I get very high.”
The track has that perfect 90s grunge rock feel and is accompanied by a video that feels like a 90s sitcom. Do yourself a favour and check this one out.
