Joey Bada$$ - The Light Pack Review

@joeybadass recently released a new 3 track EP titled The Light Pack and the badmon himself shines across 3 different sub-genres of hip-hop.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

My favourite track from this project is the track “The Light”. I personally love this because it tackles topics such as self development and growth and fighting those demons.Using the classic tropes of faith as the light and dark and conquering those.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

My favourite lyrics from this is “It's like I lost my glow, yo, my inner light was dimmin'⁣,Now I got my mojo back, Joe don't know how to act” as this shows that no matter what you can make a comeback, no matter how much your light, your energy or your soul dims.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

Also the lyrics “I'm like Mahatma Gandhi mixed Muhammad Ali,Trapped in a rapper's body, Another old soul, in every lifetime you find me” Showcases that Joey is trying to break out the box of being a rapper and he can’t beat those perceptions of him but in his head he knows that his thoughts and philosophies are inline with some of the greats.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

What did you think of The Light Pack? I genuinely loved all three tracks, I’d love to hear what you guys think⁣⁣
