I’m so proud of these two designs I did for the track Cereal by IDK which features Kenny Mason and JID. I think I’ve done a pretty good of taking what was already there for the cover art (it was pretty much a text graphic on orange) and my interpolation of this is the graphics you see with the water going into the cereal bowl. I’m not sure if I prefer this the graphic with the faces or without but please let me know!
IDK - Cereal Track ReviewIDK and his production shine on cereal, straight from the get you know this track is energetic. It features a dynamic throbbing from what sounds like a pitch shifted down siren that’s about to escalate, with atmospheric soundscaping setting the atmosphere.
This soundscape works great when we first get introduced to JIDs verse. I need to say the hook on this track is catchy and will stay in your head. “Ran outta milk, mixed some water and cereal” Trust me, you will find yourself saying this little line throughout the day.
Everybody featured on this track gets a way to shine through great lyricism and performances, but mainly I think the producer of this track @djscheme needs kudos for his work on this. Like that is some Hollywood level of production. His ability to keep this track sounding full and fat, with little motifs and themes running through. He’s by far the real of this track.
